With the release of their second generation budget Cintiq alternative, Yiynova gets it right

Yiynova took on Wacom’s tablet display monopoly last year with their release of the DP10 and MSP19. I reviewed those units and they left me wanting.

really good read about a cintiq-esqe tablet. its about a thousand and a half bucks cheaper than the cintiq as well. anyone interested in it should read on

I’m surprised this move wasn’t made earlier. There are so many tutorials on how to modify say a intuos to a cintiq.

A cintiq is really just intuos with a proper fitting screen on the back.
The screen sure is good color wise and adjusted properly, but it’s not rocket science.
When you remove all the housings from a intuos you get a transparent overlay where u can fit a screen underneath :) 

I’ve wanted a Cintiq for a while and this is now on my wishlist.

if you really want to save yourself some money: I recommend to go for the DIY cintiq projects.
They are just as precise as a real cintiq and requires you to buy a intuos and screen only. 

Also be carefull the Yiynova is slightly known to be unreliable!!!

That’s the old Yiynova, the MSP19. I reviewed that same, old Yiynova before reviewing this new model, the MPS19U. This new Yiynova is using an entirely different digitizer. It’s frustrating to see disinformation spread. Please read the review.
